HAZOP or Hazard and Operability Review has been saving future lives in the High Hazard Processing Industries (Oil, Gas, Nuclear, Fertilizer) for more than 50 years. The HAZOP methodology is a rigorous and systematic approach to identifying credible deviations from steady state operation and judging whether the associated safeguards are adequate.

This course will help you better understand the methodology and how to conduct a HAZOP review effectively in the management of process safety and environmental and asset integrity scenarios.

Traditional HAZOP has been saving future lives for 50+ years. During this time modern communication technology has been gradually, if reluctantly, adopted. COVID19 has put a booster rocket under this transition. However, wholly remote HAZOP will only succeed if the right approach and attitude is adopted.

This course will help you better understand the etiquette to enable optimum efficiency in your transition to remote HAZOP.

The course draws on references from the fertilizer industry as well as the wider High Hazard Processing sector to provide examples of best practice which will inform your ongoing journey to fully remote HAZOPs.

Introduction to HAZID Studies for Nitrogen Fertilizer Plants with Case Studies

Hazard Identification (HAZID) is a brainstorming workshop with a multi-disciplinary team to identify potential hazards. HAZID studies may be broad in their scope and thus have a wide applicability. HAZID typically examines all reasonably possible sources of hazard during project design, construction, installation, and decommissioning activities, and for proposed changes to existing operations.

This course will help you better understand the methodology and how to conduct a HAZID study effectively in the management of process safety and environmental and asset integrity scenarios. The course includes example of key hazards identified in ammonia and urea plants.
